We have gotten to know and love this delightful old couple thanks to stake conferences in Coatzacoalcos. He is the patriach for both stakes there, I guess, because he came to both conferences and was introduced as patriarch both times. He was one of the first two high priests in the region, ordained such by an Elder Gordon B. Hinckley who visited a conference in Minatitlán in 1975. Another was a Dr. Rojas from San Andres Tuxtla. Their children married one another. The last time I saw this good brother he was in the middle of getting a new set of teeth. It was really funny to hear him talk and he made fun of himself. But he has a full mouth now. He is a wonderful and faithful brother who, somehow, made me think of my own dad.
