This is the branch baptismal font in La Venta, State of Tabasco. It is a small branch which we reopened to missionary work five weeks ago. There have been no missionaries there for 5-6 years. The branch attendance was about 25-30. There is no chapel, but they have a very nice little casa de oración. The baptismal font is homemade and unique. The elders baptized a married couple in their third week. The elders told us there was to be a baptism on Mother's Day and I needed to do the intereview, so we went there to witness it. It was held before services on a Sunday morning. The baptismal font is outside the casa de oración. It takes a long time to fill up and they have to do it partly with buckets. So, the water is kept clean by covering it with visquine. Kids are kept out by the chain link fence which branch president Cruz and his counselor are rolling up.
