Translation

Actually, it is not for 1000 days. It is just that 3 years times 365 days plus June 27 through June 30, 2008 equals 1098 days, and that is way too cumbersome to convert into a blog headline. Futhermore, our release date will not be determined until May or June of 2011. Therefore, 1000 Days sounded just about right, more or less. Having noted all that, we are humbled and thrilled (Pres. Uchtdorf would refer to the feeling as "joyfully overwhelmed") about having this marvelous opportunity to serve in La Mision Mexico Veracruz.

Very suddenly, it was time to start moving missionaries. On Sunday, June 27th, we put Elders Yebra, Campos Aranda, and Jimenez on the bus to Villahermosa. They will serve as assistant to the president, materials secretary, and finance secretary. They get to Villhermosa two days ahead of the new mission president and will have the office organized for him.

That same afternoon, Elder De Jesus came in from Tampico. Elder Campos Gomez presents him with his Veracruz Mission tie. Elder De Jesus will be the new materials secretary.

On the bus with Elder De Jesus came Elder Redfern who will serve as assistant to the president. He is flanked by Elders Ricks, Amador, and Castillo. The plan is to have four assistants to help with the transition. Elder Ricks is extending for a month and will go home then. Elder Amador will go out into the field around September 1st. Fast times are ahead!
