Translation

Actually, it is not for 1000 days. It is just that 3 years times 365 days plus June 27 through June 30, 2008 equals 1098 days, and that is way too cumbersome to convert into a blog headline. Futhermore, our release date will not be determined until May or June of 2011. Therefore, 1000 Days sounded just about right, more or less. Having noted all that, we are humbled and thrilled (Pres. Uchtdorf would refer to the feeling as "joyfully overwhelmed") about having this marvelous opportunity to serve in La Mision Mexico Veracruz.

So, we were driving along the malecon, levee or seawall, with a mini-van full of missionaries when Mom yelled out, "Did you see that snake guy?" I slammed on the brakes and we went back to see snake guy. He was standing out in the street advertising a museum of weird animals. This creature is a beautiful lemon boa constrictor. It weighs 16 kilograms, before eating. I am not certain if it had recently eaten or not.

Elders Watts, Carter, Minetto, and Taylor liked it.

It was a fascinating creature and I just wanted to get close.

It made a sudden move toward my throat. I am sure it was going for my throat. I don't have any idea why the weird face. I really like large flesh-eating, strangling, constricting snakes. Really, I really do!
