Translation

Actually, it is not for 1000 days. It is just that 3 years times 365 days plus June 27 through June 30, 2008 equals 1098 days, and that is way too cumbersome to convert into a blog headline. Futhermore, our release date will not be determined until May or June of 2011. Therefore, 1000 Days sounded just about right, more or less. Having noted all that, we are humbled and thrilled (Pres. Uchtdorf would refer to the feeling as "joyfully overwhelmed") about having this marvelous opportunity to serve in La Mision Mexico Veracruz.

This shot closes the pictures from the month of August, 2009. It is taken from the pueblo, Anton Lizardo, and looks back at the very southern end of Veracruz.

Wow! You did a lot posts . . . and that was only for pics through August of 2009! Note to self - keep caught up on the blog! I don't know how you kept track of the stories to go with each pic?! Well done, though. No matter where the mission, the stories of missionary ingenuity, the power of the Spirit in conversion, and the amazing members these new converts make is always inspiring! Happy half-way mark anniversary . . . it will be SO HARD to leave this work behind, won't it?

I really like Anton Lizardo. I knew that is where the picture was taken, even before reading the caption!
