Just another pyramid at the site called El Remolino which means the whirlpool or eddy. This is a big one. It rises high above the mango trees on the banks of the San Juan River. The Los Tuxtlas Range in barely visible through the haze. There are other pyramids and walls to the right on the other side of the river. Yes, I like the pyramids. Someday I hope someone will show me the video of what was going on on those days, more than 3000 years ago. This picture was taken from the freeway between Veracruz and Coatzacoalcos. There are a couple of dozen pyramids in plain view while you move along that road, all unexcavated.
