Translation

Actually, it is not for 1000 days. It is just that 3 years times 365 days plus June 27 through June 30, 2008 equals 1098 days, and that is way too cumbersome to convert into a blog headline. Futhermore, our release date will not be determined until May or June of 2011. Therefore, 1000 Days sounded just about right, more or less. Having noted all that, we are humbled and thrilled (Pres. Uchtdorf would refer to the feeling as "joyfully overwhelmed") about having this marvelous opportunity to serve in La Mision Mexico Veracruz.

Poor little Andy got a pretty severe case of bronchitis while they were here. We took him to the private hospital where we take the missionaries. The on-call ER doctor was a pediatrician. What a blessing! She told us to go buy a nebulizer, the necessary meds, and treat him. So, we did. Mexico is great. Get sick, go buy any medication you need from the drug store, get better.

We had Thanksgiving dinner, as you can see. Spode on a BYU tablecloth. Perfect.

On the last day the kids went to the Veracruz Aquarium. We were back in the saddle 100% receiving new missionaries that day. While there, they met Elders Decker and Watkins who were on their preparation day.
