Translation

Actually, it is not for 1000 days. It is just that 3 years times 365 days plus June 27 through June 30, 2008 equals 1098 days, and that is way too cumbersome to convert into a blog headline. Futhermore, our release date will not be determined until May or June of 2011. Therefore, 1000 Days sounded just about right, more or less. Having noted all that, we are humbled and thrilled (Pres. Uchtdorf would refer to the feeling as "joyfully overwhelmed") about having this marvelous opportunity to serve in La Mision Mexico Veracruz.

And, they brought us breakfast from McDonald's! Egg McMuffins and hash browns. The missionaries are Elders Orozco, Huaman, Judd, Blanco, BArrio, and Del Rincon. June 27, 2009. One year in the books.

McDonald's? Don't you have In 'N Out?

!Ole! The mariachi band looks like a fun "year" celebration.

Pretty waterfall, too. And what a spiffy looking group of missionaries.

Congratulations Presidente and Hermana Hansen! One whole year under your belt - I can hardly believe it! I have just finished catching up on a months worth of your posts (we have been a little busy ourselves!) I know our one year mark will be here before we know it! What a REMARKABLE experience this is! What will we do with all of our time when our three years are up??!! And sorry about the kidneystone - I have experienced kidneystones myself and cannot believe you were able to finish your responsibilities that evening. Just another "misson miracle." And hooray for Mexico and its easy access drugs!
