I have mentioned before that we reward two brownies in zone conference to missionaries who write a "Dear Jane." Elder Lozano is being rewarded for his brave effort.

Yattzirry was baptized in the beautiful new Reserva Ward Building. The other two photos give you an idea of the stark contrast between church property and real life in some of the more difficult Veracruz neighborhoods. For safety reasons, these elders modify their routes going home to their apartment each night.
It was my privilege to interview Alicia Yattzirry Alfonso Razo for baptism. She goes by Yattzirry. I don't know why. She had no belief in God. She came from a totally godless family. Then she was introduced to Elders Hernandez and Petersen and took quickly to the gospel. We have seen her at several church functions since.
The FM Group decided to do a little tile work in the patio area of the offices. Sadly, they chose the day of zone leader council to do it, a day when we have an extra 18 missionaries floating around. In a failed effort to protect the wet cement, we placed chairs around the area. That didn't stop Elder Collins!
"I wondered why those random chairs were there," he said. Leave nothing but footprints.
Actually, I just like the converts in the picture. I don't even know their stories, but I just noticed that they were baptized on the birthday of our daughter, Jane. One is a short, little native man being baptized into the Hidalgo Ward, Minatitlán Stake. The other is a happy, smiling sister about to recieve the ordinance. The missionaries are Elder Sierra and Elder Weaver from Ogden.
